Strong silver leads tentative gold higher this morning
Strong silver leads tentative gold higher this morning by Michael Kosares for USA Gold
Gold is off to a tentative start for the week, but silver’s underlying strength continues to impress. It is up another 14¢ this morning at $16.33 and traded at the $16.50 level in the overnight market before experiencing a minor sell-off at the COMEX open. Gold is up $1 at $1426.50, but silver is clearly leading the way as we start a market week sure to be dominated by interest rate and trade concerns, not to overlook the possibility of the further ratcheting of tensions in the Persian Gulf.
