Deep State ‘Anxiety’ Hits Hard As The Investigation Into The Investigators Heats Up – First Up, Former CIA Director John Brennan In The Crosshairs By Susan Duclos – All News PipeLine
U.S. Attorney John Durham who has been tasked with investigating the origins of the Russia probe, being overseen by Attorney General William Barr, is making a number of intelligence community members so nervous that they have “leaked” information the New York Times about how the Justice Department plans to question senior CIA officials, with a focus “on the intelligence agencies’ most explosive conclusion about the 2016 election: that President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia intervened to benefit Donald J. Trump.” (Archive.is link here)
Key paragraphs from the NYT piece:
The interview plans are the latest sign the Justice Department will take a critical look at the C.I.A.’s work on Russia’s election interference. Investigators want to talk with at least one senior counterintelligence official and a senior C.I.A. analyst, the people said. Both officials were involved in the agency’s work on understanding the Russian campaign to sabotage the election in 2016.
While the Justice Department review is not a criminal inquiry, it has provoked anxiety in the ranks of the C.I.A., according to former officials. Senior agency officials have questioned why the C.I.A.’s analytical work should be subjected to a federal prosecutor’s scrutiny. Attorney General William P. Barr, who is overseeing the review, assigned the United States attorney in Connecticut, John H. Durham, to conduct it.
Bold emphasis mine.
The reason for highlighting those specific paragraphs is because they tell us where the “anxiety” is coming from. The original DNI report “Assessing Russian Activities and Intentions in Recent US Elections,” offered the conclusions of just three intelligence agencies, the CIA, under former CIA Director John Brennan, the FBI, under former FBI Director James Comey, and the NSA, which was the only agency used in the report that only had a “moderate” amount of confidence that Russian interference was meant to benefit President Trump. The other two agencies claimed they had “high confidence” as to Russia’s intentions.
In other words, the very people being investigated right now, Brennan, Comey, and the former Director of National Intelligence, who compiled the report and offered the “assessment,” James Clapper, were the only agencies claiming the Russia’s purpose was to help Trump win the presidency.
Also note the wording by NYT, “according to former officials.”
I would wager that the person or persons that spoon-fed this leak to the NYT was one of the aforementioned former Obama officials, because they know that Barr and Durham, starting at the CIA, means their focus is at the upper levels of the intelligence agencies under Obama, specifically the ones determined to create the “Russia collusion” hoax, which began with that DNI report.
They are running scared and attempting to get out in front of the DOJ’s investigation and projecting their own “anxiety” onto current members of the intelligence community.
DEEP STATE GOING DOWN GLOBALLY?
Sean Hannity does a great job laying out this new report from the NYT, along with the background, but note at the start of his monologue he tells people to keep an eye on “Italy, Great Britain and Australia.”
After the video we will detail some new information about that area of this investigation that is uncovering how the Obama administration used foreign intelligence services to obtain information on American citizens, specifically Trump campaign officials and associates, that is illegal for American intelligence agencies obtain.
