Tech Donor Wants to Destroy Vegas Shooter’s Guns Video – Bill Still
According to New York Times story from last Friday, an anonymous San Francisco software executive gave the estate of the Las Vegas shooter, Steven Paddock, $62,500 to purchase all of Paddock’s 47 guns – including the ones used in the largest mass shooting in U.S. history that killed 58 Las Vegas concertgoers and wounded nearly 900 more on Oct. 1, 2017.
The gift to Paddock’s estate was made with one proviso – the stipulation that all of the guns would be destroyed. The Paddock gun collection was appraised at $62,300.
Alice Denton, the attorney for the special administrator of Stephen Paddock’s estate, confirmed that the money had been deposited into her trust account on behalf of Paddock’s heirs.
As the anonymous software executive told the New York Times:
However, the truth is that someday in the future, once the rule of law is re-established in the United States, forensic experts may want to take another look at the existing evidence of this horrible crime, and the weapons supposedly used would be the first thing they would want to examine.
