President Trump, love him / hate him it is of no consequence to me, but he has a way of chasing down the truth. Some would say he is a liar, a racist, a nazi, a fascist and a variety of other adjectives that he is not. If a person speaks the truth and the President notices this can change your entire circumstance to the upside. On the other hand, if you find your name in his mouth for the wrong the reasons, well, then you could find that you have a very serious problem.
Corporate media has been feeling the wrath for months, especially CNN and MSNBC, both of which deserver 100% of the bad press they receive. Both of these organizations are the at the zenith of what it is wrong with corporate media. Don’t get wrong there are plenty of other media companies that share the same attributes as these lying, deceptive and propaganda spreading machines.
Mika Brzezinski does a masterful job of telling you what she thinks of your ability to think, make your own decisions and use your critical thinking facilities within your own brain.
Social media has found itself in on President Trump’s lips for the past week or so. Google, Facebook and Twitter have all been mentioned a great many times the past few days. These publishing companies, that claim they are open platforms, operate exactly as described in George Orwell’s 1984. The main character, Winston Smith, held a job that was responsible for “disappearing people” and spreading propaganda for the state. Alex Jones was recently “disappeared” from the big 4 online communities – Google, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. What is the difference in what Winston Smith does in the book 1984 and what these companies are doing in real life?
These companies recently held a private meeting, with other companies in attendance as well, to discuss the upcoming 2018 Election and how they can influence the outcome.
Representatives from a host of the biggest US tech companies, including Facebook and Twitter, have scheduled a private meeting for Friday to share their tactics in preparation for the 2018 midterm elections.
Last week, Facebook’s head of cybersecurity policy, Nathaniel Gleicher, invited employees from a dozen companies, including Google, Microsoft, and Snapchat, to gather at Twitter’s headquarters in downtown San Francisco, according to an email obtained by BuzzFeed News.
“As I’ve mentioned to several of you over the last few weeks, we have been looking to schedule a follow-on discussion to our industry conversation about information operations, election protection, and the work we are all doing to tackle these challenges,” Gleicher wrote. Source
This is very clearly a violation of the First Amendment and could possibly cross the line of several other laws, bills and regulations surrounding “open platforms” versus a publishing company. If you decide what is published, viewed or displayed then you are a publisher and your company falls under the First Amendment. If your platform is open to all then it already falls under the First Amendment. You see, we the people should have access to all ideas, all writings, all images and if you don’t like them, don’t agree with them, you have the choice to not view or read the material. It is that simple.
August 31 Tucker Carlson, Fox News, dedicated his entire show to exposing and enlightening the people to what is happening with these media giants.
Tucker Carlson is one of the highest rated news programs on TV and I am very grateful that he is tackling this issue. Mr. Carlson brought on some great guest and pulled out a couple of year old interviews to demonstrate this is not a new issue. If you have any interest in your God given rights this program may be of interest.
These issues are not confined to TV and your laptop / desktop computer, they also apply to your phone. The segment on how your phone operates is even more terrifying than we thought. We have reported for years on how cell phones are nothing more than a tracking device, but we didn’t realize how detailed the information has become.
I would like to encourage you to watch in it’s entirety.
