Sharyl Attkisson Exposes Fake News and the Latest Incarnation – “Media Literacy” by Rory – The Daily Coin
When interests are working this hard to shape your opinion, their true goal might just be to add another layer between you and the truth. ~Sharyl Attkisson, TED Talk
This will provide you with the who, what and, most importantly, why of “fake news”. Why this woman hasn’t won the Edward R. Murrow award for journalistic excellence is spelled out in her presentation – which is a Ted Talk. So, this is delivered directly into the heart of the beast or the bowel, depending on your perception. Please share with friends and family as this is a must for anyone that has even the smallest amount of interest in understanding what is happening to our ability to have truth in media – media of our choice. PJ Media picks the talking points apart and you can read the whole story by clicking here, but the important part is this video. Ms. Attkisson drops bombshell after bombshell, naming names and pointing fingers. This is a professional, no-holds-barred talk about your ability to have an honest media.
As we have pointed out on numerous occasions Operation Mockingbird is alive and well. Ms. Attkisson reaffirms this when she states “When everybody’s on the same page, it might the result of an organized campaign.” A mockingbird repeats what it hears, or said another way, what it’s told to say. When all broadcast news repeats the same line, almost verbatim, there might be something out of balance and not in your best interest – “...an organized campaign”
What about all those “rumors” and “fake news” about a “deep state” working against President Trump? What about the mainstream media and Nancy Pelosi “guarantee Trump will not be President, take it to the bank” and the mainstream media stating hillary had a 98% chance of winning the election?
Attkisson called Trump’s accomplishment a “hostile takeover” of the term and cautioned people to always be aware of “powerful interests might be trying to manipulate” their opinions.
She described two warning signs to look out for.
- When the media tries to shape or censor facts and opinions rather than report them.
- When so many in the media are reporting the same stories, promulgating the same narratives, relying on the same sources — even using the same phrases. Source
