China bitcoin down 30% over the past few days, however, is bitcoin considered a currency at this point? Does a nation, any nation, the size of China take bitcoin seriously? The mirage, cryptocurrency, that bitcoin represents is a threat to decentralized currencies, however, last I heard the FBI owned the largest bitcoin wallet so, it seems the market can be rigged at will. Not much of a threat. The renminbi/yuan on the other hand is a global currency and when China wants/needs to make adjustments and it is ineffective that’s a big deal.
