Justin Raimondo: What Trump Means (Video)

Justin Raimondo, editorial director of Antiwar.com, joins Jeff for a great discussion of what Trump’s election really means for libertarians. Does 2016 mark the end of globalism’s inevitability, or are Brexit and Trump mere speed bumps for progressive elites? Does Trump represent a real threat to the War Party, or will he succumb to neoconservative control over foreign policy? What are the best-case and worst-case scenarios for libertarians in the first year of a Trump administration, and will his cabinet picks contain any happy surprises?

Nobody is better suited to untangle the Trump uprising than the no-holds barred Mr. Raimondo. Stay tuned.

I fear that Brexit, Trump, Le Pen, Hofer, and Wilders will be pyrrhic victories against Neo Liberalism….pyrrhic because the global economic system is a house of cards on the verge of imploding. And the implosion will be blamed on the opponents of Neo Liberalism. This will be used as a pretext to open the floodgates of minimally vetted immigration. Combined with the welfare state and more quantitative easing, the debt spiral will engorge itself to planet eater status, as Neo Liberal prescriptions will only exacerbate the problems they tackle.

John Barleycorn
Sad to hear the label neo con so over used. War mongers and statists come in all different stripes as we have witnessed for the last eight years. Smaller government will fix most of our ills. No offense meant to anyone JMHO. On the big issues and wars both parties have joined together and voted for more of the same.

Fransico d’Anconia
Trump is surrounding himself with Neocons. Not only that, but he wants to increase military spending by $500 BILLION dollars. How is this anti-war at all? Look, Trump can SAY things, but what are his ACTIONS?
