WROL – Journalist Are Now Targets
by Rory, The Daily Coin I gave up on coincidences many years ago. I find it very interesting timing that yesterday, June 23, the so-called “leadership” in Washington DC decided it would be ok to give Obomba all the power he wants to pass the fascist, tyrannical Trans Pacific Partnership. Today, June 24, we find out the Pentagon–you know, the people that make millions of dollars off having our children kill and be killed for their “war games”–has changed the rules on how journalist are treated and giving the themselves absolute authority over the people that are attempting to cover their war crimes, I mean endless wars of aggression, sorry again, the spreading of democracy and freedom. If a journalists doesn’t cover a situation that pleases the killing machine in the Pentagon, the journalist can be labeled as an “unprivileged belligerent”, whatever that means, and they can be promptly murdered for not waving the flag over the tortured, maimed bodies of the latest CIA created bogey-man. Today we find out that the TPP (Trans Pacific Partnership) is well on it’s way to enslaving the entire country, if not all of the Americas. When will we stand up to these tyrannical dictators stripping us of every last drop of wealth we possess for their sick and demented power structures? Our children don’t stand a chance unless we begin doing something, anything. I haven’t seen a white horse or white knight yet; have you? Is there a “good guy” theory that is going to save us? I very seriously doubt it. There is no more rule-of-law. We have officially entered a WROL (without-rule-of-law) situation that gets progressively worse everyday. Murder, in broad daylight, by the so-called “police” is now common place and an accepted part of the landscape. But don’t you dare drive without a seat belt or smoke a joint in a state that doesn’t allow marijuana as a recreational drug as you will be met with the force of what the cops are paid to do. Don’t believe me? How about this gem:
Walter William DeLeon remained in critical condition on Tuesday, after Los Angeles police officers shot him four times when he waved them over for help on Friday night. The officers reportedly believed the 48-year-old father of two had a gun when he flagged them down with a towel wrapped around his hand. After the officers shot DeLeon they established that he was not carrying a weapon.
That’s right, brains on the sidewalk for attempting to get help from the cops–murderous gangs in blue uniforms–who are paid to protect to the ruling class and banking elite, not you and I. How long will it be before the windowless van pulls up to my house, breaks down the door and hauls me away for the above statement or simply puts a few bullets through the window? Once again, please don’t believe me, read what these murderous dictators are putting into place.
Pentagon rewrites ‘Law of War’ declaring ‘belligerent’ journalists as legitimate targets The Pentagon has released a book of instructions on the “law of war,” detailing acceptable ways of killing the enemy. The manual also states that journalists can be labeled “unprivileged belligerents,” an obscure term that replaced “enemy combatant.” The 1,176-page “Department of Defense Law of War Manual” explains that shooting, exploding, bombing, stabbing, or cutting the enemy are acceptable ways of getting the job done, but the use of poison or asphyxiating gases is not allowed. Surprise attacks and killing retreating troops have also been given the green light. But the lengthy manual doesn’t only talk about protocol for those on the frontline. It also has an extensive section on journalists – including the fact that they can be labeled terrorists. “In general, journalists are civilians. However, journalists may be members of the armed forces, persons authorized to accompany the armed forces, or unprivileged belligerents,” the manual states. The term “unprivileged belligerents” replaces the Bush-era term “unlawful enemy combatant.” When asked what this means, professor of Journalism at Georgetown Chris Chambers told RT that he doesn’t know, “because the Geneva Convention, other tenets of international law, and even United States law – federal courts have spoken on this – doesn’t have this thing on ‘unprivileged belligerents’.”
Once again, we see semantics come into play. If the wording of a law doesn’t fit the need, change the wording to fit the scenario. Those people aren’t “enemies”, they’re “belligerents” that have no “privileges”. Seriously!?
This means that embedded journalists, who are officially sanctioned by the military and attached to a unit, will be favored by an even greater degree than before. “It gives them license to attack or even murder journalists that they don’t particularly like but aren’t on the other side,” Chambers said. Even the Obama Administration’s definition of “enemy combatant” was vague enough, basically meaning any male of a military age who “happens to be there,” Chambers added. The manual also deals with drones, stating that there is “no prohibition in the law of war on the use of remotely piloted aircraft (also called “unmanned aerial vehicles”).” Such weapons may offer certain advantages over the weapons systems. It states that drones can be designated as military aircraft if used by a country’s military. The book includes a foreword from the General Counsel of the Department of Defense, Stephen Preston, who states that “the law of war is part of who we are.” He goes on to say that the manual will “help us remember the hard-learned lessons from the past.” The manual is the Pentagon’s first all-in-one legal guide for the four military branches. Previously, each sector was tasked with writing their own guidelines for engagement, which presumably did not list journalists as potential traitors. The Pentagon did not specify the exact circumstances under which a journalist might be declared an unprivileged belligerent, but Chambers says he is sure “their legal department is going over it, as is the National Press Club and the Society of Professional Journalists.”
Why are these two pieces being put on the table on the same day? Like I said, I gave up on coincidences many years ago. This was a planned event. We are beginning to see a great number of events come together. What will the pinnacle look like? When will it appear? These are unknown as they are future events and no one knows the future. We can, however, begin to see pieces fall into place, like these two pieces of legislation, seemingly completely separate, but somehow coming together on the same day. We see all across the country massive military movement under the name of JADE Helm 2015, OPCON 2022 and Raider Focus. This is to say nothing of the military conducting night time drills with live fire explosives at 3am in Michigan and flying BlackHawk attack helicopters through South Florida during night maneuvers. Seems to be a lot coincidences stacking up.
