Crime Does Pay: Hillary Clinton To Announce Presidential Candidacy On Sunday
by Dave Kranzler, Investment Research Dynamics If any event demonstrates the Banana Republic status of the United States political system, it’s Hillary Clinton’s Presidential Candidacy. Notwithstanding the fact that Hillary should be under investigation by an independently appointed Special Prosecutor for possible criminal abuse of her position as Obama’s Secretary of State, there’s a long laundry list of probable crimes for which Hillary should have been at least investigated (Whitewater/Madison Guaranty, mysterious commodities trading “profits,” Vince Foster’s “apparent” suicide, Travelgate, etc). But instead Hillary is set to announce her candidacy for the 2016 Presidential election. While political scandals, high crimes and skulduggery have been occurring since the dawn of organized civilization, ever since Nixon walked away from the Watergate crimes legally unscathed, the American public has accepted Governmental criminality as eagerly as Oliver Twist begged for more porridge: “Please sir, I want some more.” Charles Dickens has always been one of my favorite writers, as I relish anything that lampoons obvious authoritative crimes and moral injustices, as well as caricaturizes general societal absurdities like “political/social” correctness. Ironically, I never in my wildest nightmares ever thought that the burlesque political, economic and social worlds of Victorian England brilliantly satirized by Dickens would ever come to life for real in the United States. And yet, on Sunday we will wake up to be greeted with a reality that only the likes of George Orwell or Ayn Rand were keen enough to visualize for this country over 70 years ago. The economic landscape of this country is punctuated by the absurdity of a stock market which continuously defies the underlying fundamental realities and levitates progressively higher on helium from the Fed’s printing press. Similarly, the United States’ depraved political process has deteriorated into little more than a thoroughly corrupted Banana Republic which is controlled by absolute moral and ethical degenerates. Unfortunately, the laws ratified in 1791 which were designed to usurp attempts to pervert the sanctity of the original democracy put in place by the Founding Fathers have been completely discarded. Instead, this country is now run by what looks more like the Sicilian Mafia than a Constitutional Government. Even more unfortunate is the fact the the public willingly accepts this reality.
