(United Eurasia, Pt. 2): The Powerful Organization that No One’s Talking About

TDC Note – Thank you, Wealth Watchman for adding to the conversation regarding the SCO. Most people are not concerned with this topic when it should be front and center. With the BRICS as the back-bone, and seemingly playing the role of central government for the SCO, we should be very concerned with how this organization is handling global affairs. We should also keep a copy of Goldman Sachs “Dreaming with BRICS: The Path to 2050” close at hand. We at The Daily Coin have discussed this subject on numerous occasions with several different well studied analyst–see here, here, here and here for a few examples. I just recently did an interview for GoldSilverBitcoin and the subject of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) was one of the major talking points. Once again, thank you for giving such a detailed account of the history and the go-forward on this subject. It needs to be discussed by a great many more people. The SCO should be one of the biggest global concerns we discuss today. Instead, sadly, it is very rarely even mentioned. from The Wealth Watchman

The Real Founding Power Behind the BRICS

The BRICS, as we’ve already discussed elsewhere, were formed as a response to Western financial fraud and malfeasance.  It’s greatest purpose is to give the East a real shot at things like trade, security measures, and economic cooperation, all in within a venue that they, not Washington, would control.

They’ve come a long way in a short space of time, it’s true, but they’re the new kid on the block.  In fact, they weren’t even brainstormed as a serious idea, until September of 2006!  Their first official meeting, minus South Africa, wasn’t even held until 2009.

However, there was another organization, which came before the BRICS, which is even more influential than they in some ways!  One whose founders birthed the idea for an overtly pro-emerging market organization, just like the BRICS in the first place.

That organization, which nearly no one is talking about, is called the “Shanghai Cooperation Organisation”(SCO).

I’m sorry Watchman, but who on earth is that?

Ya see?  I told you that nearly no one is talking about it!

Let me introduce you to the most powerful organization today, that almost no one has heard of, but soon will!

The History Behind its Founding

First of all, the SCO was established a good deal before the BRICS, in fact, the foundation for it was laid a full decade earlier, in 1996.  The SCO’s purpose is somewhat different than the BRICS too, though they have many parallel goals.  First and foremost, the SCO’s creation was the brainchild of Russia and China, it is those two countries who had the idea for this organization.

Why was it created it though, Watchman?

Brothers, that’s the real question.  In order to get our heads around this, let’s do a quick recap of history.

In the very early 1990’s, when the Soviet Union had basically lost the Cold War, many guarantees and treaties were agreed to and signed, between Gorbachev and the U.S.  One of the chief tenets that Russia agreed to, in order to wind down the Soviet Union peacefully, was that the newly-united East and West Germany, would be joining NATO.  However, just as importantly, in return the guarantee was given to Soviet Foreign Minister, Eduard Shevardnadze, that NATO(a military deterrent created as a counter-balance to check Soviet forces in Europe), would not, under any circumstances, “frog leap” Germany, and expand its membership further eastward.

Anti NATO treaties

It was a most reasonable agreement, and it formed the basis of a great peace…a peace that could’ve lasted indefinitely, had not the hubris and and arrogance of Western, bankster globalists reared its head.  In fact, quite foolishly, the banking Dragon immediately started to renege on this fundamental promise to Russia, and began constructing plans to expand its military alliance of NATO eastward toward Russian territory.

So did We!

The very first public admission by the globalists, that they meant to break their promises about NATO expansion toward Russia, was by President Clinton, all the way back in 1996.  By the way, if you’ll remember, 1996 was the exact same year that the group, which would become the SCO, was formed(this is not a coincidence).

“Wile E. Brzezinski”, Kissinger, and all the NATO schemers, began immediately breaking promises by the bushel-basket!  Onward, and eastward, they went: extending new NATO membership cards to everyone and their pet goldfishes!

Hungary, the Czech Republic, Poland, and even former Soviet members, like the baltic States, were admitted.  Rather than keeping their promise about not expanding NATO, they actually doubled NATO’s membership, from 12 states to 24!  Now currently, there are 28 members.  They even went so far as to put a few naval bases in central Asia.

The key lynchpin to the peace treaties had been violated, and Washington D.C. was moving to encircle Russia militarily, with the purpose of putting “missile defense systems” in place around their borders.  All this was being done while planning to pivot to Asia, and even move in on the central Asian republics.  The power vacuum that the crumbling Soviet Empire left, would soon be filled by Brzezinski, and the Western globalists.

Something had to be done, to check U.S. and NATO aggression, and quickly.

The East Responds

Russia and China knew what President Clinton’s announcement of new NATO membership meant, and immediately went to work.  Within that year, they established an organization, in the city of Shanghai, known as  “The Shanghai Five”, since it had 5 member states in its infancy.  Later, in 2001, with the admission of Uzbekistan, it was renamed the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

Let’s take a look at the brief description that Wikipedia gives them in their introduction:

The SCO is a Eurasian political, economic and military organisation which was founded in Shanghai by the leaders of China, KazakhstanKyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan.

Let’s stop right there, for a moment.  Remember the countries we reviewed that “Wile E. Brzezinski” stated in “The Grand Chessboard” were actually key to controlling Eurasia?  Yes, they were Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan, etc.  It seems Russia and China agreed with Mr. Brzezinski, on the matter of their strategic importance, because, from the very moment they knew the NATO promise’s was null and void, they began to move to shut the West out of that particular corridor indefinitely.

Its 6 member states cover 60% of Eurasia’s landmass, not to mention a whopping a quarter of the world’s population!  This is their logo, showcasing the enormous territory that their membership covers:

However, if you included the several “observer” states, who are vying for official membership, then all those affiliated with this organization would comprise no less than 50% of the world’s population!

Remember that map of Eurasia that we looked at?  Here, let’s take a 2nd look at it:

Ok, now take a gander at the list of countries included in the SCO(as either Members, Observers, or Dialogue Partners):

Well, bless me, if they haven’t nearly sewn up the whole thing!  The only portions left unaddressed are Southeastern Asia, the Caucasus, the Arab world, and Europe!  Nearly everyone in central and southern Asia, is either a member, or an “observer” at this point!

Speaking of “observers”…

Membership in the SCO

A nation cannot simply just decide to join the SCO.  That’s not how it works.  The SCO has an applicant, or “vetting process”, if you will, before they accept new members.

SD Bullion

The first step toward becoming a member, traditionally, is to apply for “observer status”.  During this time, the members hold a series of dialogue meetings with the applicant, to determine whether the applying nation would be a positive addition to the group.  The litmus test for membership seems to be whether the applying nation would fulfill something called, “The Shanghai Spirit”.

In their own words, to fulfill “The Shanghai Spirit”, an applicant nation must fulfill these characteristics:

Mutual trust, mutual benefit, equality, consultation, respect for cultural diversity and pursuit of common development.

If an applicant can’t fulfill most or all of these things, they don’t make the cut.  In order to be approved for “observer status”, all 6 member nations have to green light you.  If Tajikistan thinks you’d be a detriment to the group, then it doesn’t matter what China and Russia think: you don’t make the cut!  There must be unanimous agreement for a new member to join the ranks.

But Watchman, wouldn’t the most obvious strategy by the U.S. and NATO, be to simply wreck this new organization from the inside?  Why wouldn’t they simply join the SCO, and stymie all its votes?

Ahhh, brother, the U.S. has already applied for “observer status” in the SCO!  In fact, they applied nearly a decade ago, back in 2006, and were told, “thanks, but no thanks”.

This should cement in everyone’s mind, just how entrenched they are against Washington, and the Western elites.

A Military Organization

However, in case you’re tempted to think that the SCO is simply a “feel-good” bunch of guys, who sing “kumbaya”, and wax on about together’ness, cooperation, and trade, think again!  Lest we forget, the SCO isn’t some “toothless tiger”.  Rather, the SCO has always been intended for military matters from the start.  After all, it was constructed to give border security to its member states, both against terrorism, and against any attempts to place missile systems around their periphery.  It was a direct response to NATO’s encroachment toward Russia’s borders.

In fact, last September at their latest meeting they categorically restated their stance about such behavior:
