Time for another $1 billion missile built by Satan-worshipping extortionists? – Russia-Insider
TDC Note – Why build roads or repair the ones that desperately need attention? Why should we repair or replace the bridges that are crumbling or the lead-filled water systems pumping poison throughout the land? We have wars to fight!!! We need to add to our worthless military arsenal and support the oligarchs of the Pentagon and their warmongering contracting friends. This is what’s important to empire – you and me, not so much. What about all the military equipment going to the local police force – where would they get the latest and greatest spy technology, military grade weapons and light duty troop moving equipment if Raytheon and their buddies didn’t continue supplying us with cost over-runs and equipment that doesn’t work for an enemy that doesn’t exist?
Just what America needs: Another Raytheon missile that doesn’t work
What do you call two war merchants who make crappy military hardware for billions of dollars? “Lockheed Martin and Raytheon.”
Yes, Lockheed (world-famous for its innovative Money Pit-35) and Raytheon (the creator of many horrible expensive things such as the Tomahawk and the Patriot missiles—which don’t even work) have been recruited by Uncle Sam to serve their country once again.
The US Air Force has awarded two $900 million contracts to design the next nuclear-capable cruise missile, as part of the nuclear modernization push estimated at over $1 trillion.
Lockheed Martin and Raytheon were chosen to research and develop the new Long Range Stand-Off (LRSO) weapon, the Air Force announced Wednesday.
“This weapon will modernize the air-based leg of the nuclear triad,” Air Force Secretary Heather Wilson said in a statement.
The two military industry conglomerates were given 54 months to “mature design concepts and prove developmental technologies” for the LRSO. At that point, the Air Force will pick one of them to proceed with the engineering, manufacturing and development phase, sometime in fiscal year 2022.
Reminder: 20 percent of American children live in households with incomes below the federal poverty threshold.
Time for another $1 billion missile built by Satan-worshipping extortionists? “Sure”.
