Six Years Later, the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Disaster’s Impact Continues Podcast
TDC Note – When Fukushima first exploded TEPCO said it would take 20 years to develop the technology to deal with this disaster [now scrubbed from the internet]. In 2014 the “revised” version stated it will take 20 years to remove the fuel rods from reactors 1,2 and 3. – we don’t have 20 years. In the meantime our world continues to move, rotate and be poisoned by this nuclear nightmare. Mass die offs around the world are associated with Fukushima; robots “die” soon after entering any of the reactors; the Fukushima 50 are all dead; I have estimated a minimum of 75 million gallons (back of the napkin math in 2015) of radioactive waste water has been dumped into the Pacific Ocean – minimum. How much worse will it have to be before a government authority steps up to the plate and proclaims this to be the ELE that can destroy the planet?
Look at the images below and explain to me how you remove nuclear fuel rods from this wreckage. One wrong move during the removal process and the situation goes from dire to 100% out-of-control. One wrong move is all it takes while maneuvering in this tangled web of steel and concrete.
While the idiots in charge of every nation around the world stand arm-in-arm in their complicit contempt for humanity our world continues dying. One more earthquake of size that hits Japan and our world will be in very serious trouble with no way out. The people along the west coast of North America should take this into consideration – from Hawaii to Alaska and every point in-between. These areas are currently being irradiated. If the situation becomes elevated, well, good luck to you all as you will take the brunt of the hit. From the jet-stream to tidal flows there will be no escape.
Beyond Nuclear was interviewed by Margaret Prescod on Sojourner Truth Radio on Pacifica. Here is the show summary:
Today, we commemorate Saturday’s 6th anniversary of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster, the world’s worst nuclear accident since Chernobyl. The disaster was triggered by an 9.0 earthquake followed by a tsunami. Contamination from the accident spread across the Pacific Ocean. Now the Japanese government is set to lift evacuation orders for the area surrounding Fukushima. Our guests are Kevin Kamps, radioactive waste watchdog at Beyond Nuclear, and Arnie Gunderson, nuclear power expert with Fairewinds.
