Nourishing CBD-infused hemp milk set to hit stores soon
TDC Note – I will be on the look out for this one and requesting it to be stocked. If you haven’t been following the articles we post about CBD oil and cannabinoids you should start paying attention. CBD oil is in the same category as ginger root, turmeric and garlic – on it’s worst day it’s a wonder drug for the body/system – healing properties to help offset years of GMO “food”, living wrong and not paying attention to our health the way we should.
Hemp milk has steadily been gaining popularity over the last few years. It’s widely respected for its numerous health benefits, and the fact that it is a great vegan alternative to conventional dairy milk makes it all the better. What more could you ask for?
Well, Michael Isted, a psychotherapist and development consultant for Rawligion, has come up with a way to make hemp milk even better. This new hemp-based drink from Rawligion is called Relax, and it is quite the creation. Isted has crafted a 100 percent organic hemp drink that also contains CBD – a beneficial compound that is found in cannabis and hemp plants. CBD, which is short for cannabidiol, has been associated with an array of health benefits. CBD oil has been used to treat seizure disorders, cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. It’s also been used to provide relief from stress, depression, sleep disorders and pain. Studies have shown that it can also be used as an effective treatment for anxiety.
Most impressively, CBD is a non-psychoactive compound, meaning it produces these great health effects without creating a “high.”
CBD interacts with our own endogenous cannabinoid system, which helps maintain homeostasis in the body and is perhaps one of the most important physiologic systems for establishing and maintaining health. Cannabinoid receptors and endocannabinoids can be found throughout the entire human body; they are present in the brain, organs, connective tissues, glands and even in immune cells. While the cannabinoid system performs different tasks in different tissues, the end goal is always the same: to maintain homeostasis. Cannabinoids support and encourage homeostasis on every biological level, all the way down to individual cells.
To put it simply, the endogenous cannabinoid system is essential to human life and overall health. Our bodies are capable of synthesizing their own cannabinoid compounds, which are known as “endocannabinoids,” but our cannabinoid system is capable of using phytocannabinoids, such as those found in hemp or cannabis, as well. It is this interaction that gives CBD, and the plants from which it is derived, its profound healing abilities. Writing for NORML.org, Dr. Dustin Sulak states:
In 1902 Thomas Edison said, “There were never so many able, active minds at work on the problems of disease as now, and all their discoveries are tending toward the simple truth that you can’t improve on nature.” Cannabinoid research has proven this statement is still valid.
In a world full of prescription drugs, the rising prominence of this plant-based medicine stands alone. The creation of a beverage that contains CBD oil will hopefully provide yet another step forward in the acknowledgment of cannabis and hemp for what they have to offer the world. While many mainstream medical professionals and over-inflated government agencies fall behind, it is clear that a growing number of people are refusing to be held back by their obtuse belief that something can only be medicine if it’s created in a laboratory. Around the world, people are waking up to the truth: Cannabis is not criminal.
In addition to containing hemp seeds and CBD, Relax also features cashews, dates, coconut oil, vanilla and water. The drink is intended to promote a sense of well-being and calm, while also being nourishing.
Rawligion is a health food restaurant that’s located in London, England. They will be producing their new beverage in conjunction with LoveHemp, a CBD oil distributor located in the UK. Their product, Relax, will first be offered throughout the London area. There aren’t any plans for widespread distribution as of yet, but hopefully their product will inspire the creation of others like it.
